For the first time, the On Think Tanks Conference was held on the African continent. The event brought together individuals and organisations from over 100 countries for a dynamic exchange of ideas. Over two days, the programme featured an impressive lineup of keynote addresses, plenary and parallel sessions, and ample opportunities for networking and partnership development.

The NSI was proud to be one of the official partners of this year’s conference. On the first day, participants engaged in sessions exploring the power of coalitions in driving change, strategies for turning evidence into impactful campaigns and the future of think tanks. Parallel workshops provided practical training on transforming evidence for policy, and the role of international cooperation in strengthening think tanks and evidence-informed policymaking.

The second day focused on the evolving role and impact of think tanks in challenging contexts. Discussions highlighted think tanks as training grounds for cultivating future policy leaders, and offered advice for young professionals entering the sector, among other key topics.
