Interview with Sergei Karaganov by Jelena Vidojević Featured in Russia in Global Affairs
Russia in Global Affairs, a leading Russian journal of international relations, has republished the interview between Jelena Vidojević, co-founder and research fellow at the New South Institute, and Sergei Karaganov, honorary chairman of Russia’s Council on Foreign and Defense Policy.
The interview, originally published by NSI as part of its ‘Missing voices’: critical thinking in times of polycrisis series, explores the historical and geopolitical drivers of the liberal international order’s crisis and the emergence of a post-Western, multipolar world. Karaganov reflects on Russia’s evolving global orientation, the role of institutions such as BRICS and the SCO, and the strategic significance of the “World Majority.”
A full version of the interview also appeared in Brave New Europe in June 2025. Its inclusion in Russia in Global Affairs marks a further extension of its reach into ongoing international debates.
